crafty stress management

Stress is, unfortunately, a reality of our lives today. It plays an unprecedented role in the development of illness, disease and distraction from the enjoyment of life. Stress Management, therefore, can play a valuable role as part of a treatment plan for all health issues, including fertility.

In this CRAFTY STRESS MANAGEMENT COURSE, craft is used as a vehicle for managing stress, achieving relaxation states and bringing about positive change, at the same time as engaging in a creative, inspiring and enjoyable pursuit.

Suitable for beginners and existing crafters alike, we will embark on two craft projects, over five weeks, whilst exploring some of the issues that lead to stress. We will learn ways in which we can better manage stressors, using a variety of methods, including mindfulness practices, affirmations and the importance of positive self-talk and of course, craft.

Learn a new skill, learn to stitch, learn to crochet or come along and develop your existing craft skills and see them from a new stress busting perspective. See craft in a new light!

Here is what some previous course participants have had to say:

“Crafty Stress Management has helped me to reassess my attitudes towards crafting, my responses to stress, and my love of creativity! Thank you Sue, for sharing your knowledge!

Crafty Stress Management was the perfect activity to start at the beginning of winter and of starting a new, busy job. Sue’s warm, inviting craft room full of lush crocheted blankets was the perfect antidote to the chilly evening and the combination of stress relief techniques and excellent crafting projects is an inspired way to approach relaxation.”

Workshops will be in a relaxed, sociable setting with instruction, suggestions, group discussion and, of course, practical hands-on fabulous crafting. No previous experience necessary. All welcome. All materials supplied. Booking essential.
